Happy Spring
After a busy February including concerts in CA and PA and a highly successful world premiere of William Bolcom's "Billy in the Darbies" we are now in intensive preparation for our second recording this season. Having completed our all Jennifer Higdon CD with pianist Gary Graffman for Bridge Records this past fall,(more to come on the CD release party!) in early April we will be recording Pulitzer Prize winning composer, Paul Moravec's Piano Quintet with internationally acclaimed pianist, Jeremy Denk. We have been looking forward to this exciting collaboration! The disc will also include the above mentioned Bolcom plus a fantastic adaptation of John Adam's "John's Book of Alleged Dances".
In addition to our recordings and upcoming concerts this spring, we are looking forward to premiering a new commission of composer Nico Muhly's for quartet plus percussion at the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival this August. For this project we have the pleasure of working and performing with percussionist, Yousif Sheronick for an exciting week of concerts. We'll keep you posted!
