Hello and Happy New Year to all!
After a wonderful holiday break, LARK is looking forward to a busy January!
We will be performing on January 26th for the "Concerts by Candlelight" series at Historic Dumbarton Church in Washington DC with koto player, Yumi Kurosawa as well as in private house concerts in NYC. We look forward to both the February release on Bridge Records of our all Jennifer Higdon CD (with pianist Gary Graffman and producer Silas Brown) and to the completion of our next CD. After recording Paul Moravec's piano quintet with Jeremy Denk last spring we continued in November with John Adams'," Book of Alleged Dances" with percussionist Yousif Sheronick. This month, we'll be recording William Bolcom's "Billy in the Darbies" with bass baritone, Stephen Salters along with Copland's "Two Pieces" for string quartet. It has been a great pleasure to work with producer Judith Sherman on this project! We'll keep you posted on future concerts and projects!
